8265ngw bluetooth not working

$

I have recently bought a new HP laptop, and it cam with the 8265ngw Dual Band wifi-bluetooth combo chip installed. It initially worked, but has since stopped working. I had to re-install Windows, as the installed OS was in Chinese, which I do not speak. Once I installed the operating system, I had a lot of issues with the system consistently crashing - BSOD bug check code 239, after the 1803 build was installed. This has (finally!) been sorted - there was yet another Windows update(!), and things have since stabilised.

However, through all of this, I have had great wifi connectivity, but no bluetooth. In the Device Manager, there is no bluetooth showing (not even as a hidden item), and no unknown devices. Opening up services.msc shows that Bluetooth services are running and set to do so automatically. I have downloaded the drivers direct from the Intel website, still no bluetooth. I asked the Intel website Driver and Support Assistant to check the system, it correctly identified the wifi chipset, and declared the drivers 'up-to-date'.

Any other thoughts / ideas I can try to get bluetooth working again?

Thanks

I have been trying to get Miracast screen share to work between my laptop and LG TV without success.

I am using Lenovo T470 lapto that uses Intel dual band AC-8620 wifi card.

In order to fix the issue, I have updated the drivers and reinstalled Windows 10. My laptop can see the TV but can not connect.

The network card can see other blue tooth devices and also my wifi enabled printer and works fine. It is just that it refuses to screen share :-

Any help or ideas gratefully received.

Thanks.

Intel 7265 Rev 59 ? Hardware Bug ? Windows 10?

hello guys

so I have purchase a new laptop but it seems like I'm unable to detect any 5 Ghz, so I have done some troubleshoot my router is a AC so it should have no issue not broadcasting 5Ghz, my old acer laptop and my cellphone is able to pick it up without any issue, I have updated to the latest windows 10 (1709) as of today and it still resulted in the same issue and I have also updated the firmware and bios of my laptop and it points to the same issue, my ssid 5 ghz isn't broadcasting at all, I downloaded a third party program and tested it seems like the card is only picking up channel 155 and it broadcast 5 Ghz, so I have changed that in router interface page and it seems to appear, but upon connecting to it, it seems like the speed to be dropping, and it does this for 2.4 Ghz as well, so I'm getting a pretty bad speed, it goes as low as 14 Mbps, my only guess it is a faulty NIC ? the laptop is fairly new and only 3 days old.

I have attached SSU and some picture, possible to hear from someone regarding this thank you.

8265 does not reconnect on boot

This issue is present since about 1803, and is very intermittent - it appears to happen more often with a hybrid shutdown/hibernation (Win 10 x64) and less often with a full shutdown.

Event log gives me WLAN Extensibility Module service errors, but it eventually starts successfully - the wifi does not reconnect, however.

A radio toggle fixes the issue and 8265 reconnects to the known network.

This issue is present on 20.50.0, power management of the radio is off.

Would this be an OS-level issue, or is the driver to blame?

(Win10 drivers are hard, no argument there)

Dear Community,

I'm actual in trouble with my laptop, because my MAC adress always changes, if I turn on/off my WLAN. How/Where can I create a static MAC-adress?

I've tried it in the advanced options, but there wasn't a layer for the network-adress.

I hope you can help me.

Thx a lot!

Connecting issue with Wireless-AC 7260

Hey guys.

I got an Intel AC7260 mini PCI-E wireless card installed on my motherboard, and it might have some issue when connecting to my ASUS RT-AC86U router (latest official firmware, non Merlin or third party).

The wireless card can search and connect to 2.4GHz and 5GHz signals, and seems working fine at first, the link speed is pretty good, but after about 1 minute more or less of heavy network load, like downloading, online video streaming or remote desktop in full speed for example, the wireless network icon of Windows 10 becomes a yellow exclamation sign, all the SSID except for the current connected one cannot be shown, and the computer cannot reach any Internet or LAN address.

The only solution is to click disconnect, run Windows network troubleshoot, which the troubleshoot report that the wireless controller need to be reset, and then it can reconnect to any SSID again, but the issue will happen again soon.

Meanwhile, when this issue is occurring, the mouse cursor will also stucks then recovers every few seconds, no matter it's a corded mouse or wireless mouse.

This issue has nothing to do with the Windows 10 version, and I got the newest version of PROSet Wireless Software (20.50.0) and newest driver version (18.33.12.2, x64) installed. Rolling back to an early software and driver version did no help.

The router is working perfect with my iPhones, Macbook Pro, Qualcomm Atheros AC wireless card, Realtek USB AC wireless card and Broadcom AC wireless card.

BTW, the AC7260 adapter is working great with my old Linksys E3000 dual-band 802.11n router in both 2.4GHz and 5GHz with 300Mbps link speed.

So, any solutions or suggestions?

Thanks.

Wireless driver spamming Windows Event Log

$

This is for a Intel Dual Band Wireless-AC 8260 chip on a Lenovo P50. The driver for the wireless chip keeps posting this to the Application Event Log every 9-11 seconds:

Source: Netwtw06

Event ID: 7023

Level: Information

Content: 7077 - Intel proprietary

It's cluttering my event log and making it difficult to find anything useful.

I have the latest version of the driver (20.30.1).

Is there any way to turn off this event logging? Or can it be removed in the next version?

8265 verry slow on copy files on LAN, especially on upload

Hi,

recently purchased a lenovo T580, with 8265 wifi card

i received the laptop, and updated the preinstalled windows to 10 to build 1803, i already noticed that  i had slow copy speeds on my wifi network at home or at work, tried several routers/locations

on 2.4 i am connected at around 144Mbs , so i should have stable internal copy speeds at about 10MB/sec, while i only get 2-5 MB from laptop to synology

on 5ghz, connected at aroud 600Mbs , i get around 1 MB/sec only from laptop to synology

but this is only on the upload site, when i copy a file from the synology to my laptop, on 2.4 i get 10MB/sec, on 5ghz, i get 30MB/sec

tested on my girlfiends laptop, its a HP elite book, also with 8265 card, i get the speed that i want, like 40-50 MB/sec on 5 GHZ and 11 MB/sec on 2.4 on both directions, the laptop is just next to me

i have googled tried a lots of stuff

clean installed windows 10 today directly to 1803 build, when it was clean installed, with drivers from windows itself, same issue

then tried downloading latest proset intel driver , same  issue, uninstalled and installed the intel driver from lenovo site, same thing

in advanced settings, i have configured roaming aggresivenes to lowest, same issue

tried 20-40 band, other channels, i always have the same issue on my lenovo, while the HP is in every way working as expected

any help please? i am out of ideas

Traffic lag issue on Intel Dual Band Wireless-AC 8260 and registry changes

On Lenovo T460/470 Windows 10 laptop, ping or throughput latency problem is sometimes observed.

Its network adapter Intel dual band wireless ac 8260 (with latest drivers 20.10.xx).

I got to know by googling that the lag issue is due to frequent WiFi scan behavior of Intel Wireless drivers and it can be resolved by setting the following registries and setting 'Roaming Aggressiveness' to 'lowest'.

"ScanDisableOnLowTraffic"=dword:0000001F

"ScanDisableOnMediumTraffic"=dword:0000001F

"ScanDisableOnHighOrMulticast"=dword:0000001F

"ScanDisableOnLowLatencyOrQos"=dword:0000001F

Changing 'Roaming Aggressiveness' to 'lowest' and changing values of the four registries make WiFi Scan disabled completely, then it leads to resolve lag problem.

Does anyone explain about the four registries?

And, is there any plan for Intel to update Intel Dual Band Wireless-AC driver to make WiFi-scan configurable?

Thanks in advance.

Wireless network disconnection with NETwNs64 event log

Operating System:    Microsoft Windows 7 Professional(6.1.7601 Build 7601)

I'm using  Intel(R) Dual Band Wireless-N 7260  and the driver version is  18.33.12.2 which is the newest one I think.

My wifi network is disconnected frequently with "NETwNs64" event log which ID is 5007 and 5032.

But the NETwNs64 is missing in my computer. So I can not see the log detail.

I can not fix this problem until OS reboot.

How can I fix this permanently?

Bluetooth mouse cursor stops after 3-4 sec of inactivity

Hello everyone!

Here is the problem: my bluetooth mouse does not work properly on Xiaomi Mi Notebook Air 13.3 2018.

The mouse cursor stops moving after 3-4 seconds of inactivity. Starts working again after button clicking or wheel scrolling.

I can't use it at all, it's terrible! You need to make a click, and only after 0.5-1 seconds the cursor starts working. Leave the mouse for 3 seconds or just stop the cursor for 3 seconds - it does not move again.

The optical sensor works properly and lights up brighter when moving (as usual).

I changed the batteries to new ones - it did not help.

All drivers in the system are updated, incl. an Intel Wireless Bluetooth adapter, a chipset, etc. I tried to install older drivers from the Xiaomi website (v.19.71.0.2), newer - from the Intel website (v.20.50.1), from the Windows Update center - it does not help.

In the power settings, all the "Turn off to save power" checkboxes are removed from the bluetooth adapter, mouse and all associated devices.

This mouse is quite old (it was bundled with Asus notebooks about ten years ago), it works (and always worked) without complaints on the other three PCs on the same version of Windows: stationary with a third-party Chinese bluetooth adapter and laptops with built-in bluetooth from Broadcom and Atheros.

IMPORTANT: if I use a third-party usb bluetooth adapter (and disconnect built-in Intel Wireless Bluetooth adapter, of course) on this notebook , the mouse works without this problem on this notebook, so problem is with Intel Wireless Bluetooth adapter or it's driver.

Added: also noticed a thing: when you do not touch the mouse for some time, then intensively pull - the cursor still moves for a split second, then just stops moving at all. That is, it does not fall asleep in fact, just bugging from activity after 4 seconds of waiting.

Thank you in advance for your help!

I have an Intel 7260 wireless card in my Dell Inspiron 15 (3521).  It's not the original card it replaces a Dell 1704 wireless card.  In the Device manager it shows a "Bluetooth peripheral device" that it can't find a driver for.  The hardware ID is BTHENUM\{cbecab40-a2c8-4ab3-adc1-de0fe95d8600}_LOCALMFG&0000  What is it and where can I find a driver for it?

Intel Wireless Bluetooth "driver is unavailable"

Hi there,

I recently bought this product which has WiFi and Bluetooth: Asus PCE-AC55BT Dual-Band Wireless-AC1200 PCI-E Adapter.

The WiFi works. The bluetooth does not work however. If I click on Windows settings > Devices it says "Driver is unavailable". I installed the Intel Drive and Support Assistant and ran a scan - it says I have the latest Bluetooth driver (20.50.1.2).

If go to device manager there is an "unknown device" which is the above bluetooth device. However there is also "Intel Wireless Bluetooth" in the bluetooth category.

I have no other bluetooth devices installed.

My computer specs:Intel® Core™ i7-8700K CPU @ 3.70GHz;  ASUSTeK COMPUTER INC. PRIME Z370-A; Windows 10 Pro 64 bit.

How do I get the bluetooth to work?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Intel Wireless Adapter Driver having sporadic disconnections

$

I've had a Gigabyte GC-WB867D-I (Intel® Dual Band Wireless-AC 7260) wireless adapter for about 2 years now, and never had any issues with it. It's only until recently that I'm having various disconnection issues that seem to be heavily software related. At random times during a day (sometimes having breaks of several days with no occurence of the issue), my PC will freeze up two to three times for about 2 seconds, over 10 seconds. At the same time, my wireless connection gets dropped, as if the adapter had gotten disabled. When having Windows 10 troubleshoot the issue, it generally tells me that "The Default Gateway was not available" (if I remember correctly), or sometimes that an ethernet cable wasn't plugged in correctly.

I've attempted installing various versions of the Intel Wireless Adapter drivers to solve the issue, but nothing seems to work. I formatted my PC about 4 days ago as well, hoping it might help, but it apparently hasn't. I also bought another wireless adapter originally, expecting the issue to potentially be hardware related, though that adapter seems to be having issues with connection speed, almost dividing my speed by 10.

I'm at a loss of what I could do here, and would really love if someone could help me out here.

AC-7265 or Its Drivers Do Not Allow Bluetooth Mouse to Wake Computer

$

I have an HP Envy laptop with the Intel AC-7265 wireless adapter built in.  The OS is Windows 10, 64-bit, latest version (1803).

With the latest driver available on the OEM (HP) website, which is 20.20.0.5, it is impossible for a Bluetooth mouse to wake the computer from sleep.  As you can see below, under Device Manager I can disallow the computer from shutting off the Wireless Bluetooth to save energy, but I cannot allow the device to wake the computer, as that option is greyed out.  I am no expert, but I presume this may be a driver issue.

Bluetooth Wireless Screen Capture 1.jpg

Would any of the newer drivers available on the Intel website resolve this problem?  Is there a reason that the newer drivers are not available through the computer manufacturer's website, such some form of incompatibility?

Any advice and assistance would be greatly appreciated.  Thank you.

8265 wifi disappearing

Hi,

I have the gigabyte GC-WB867D-I (rev. 4.3) (intel AC 8265). With the recent windows edition update 1803 this wifi adaptor has been losing connectivity, mostly when I connect to a multiplayer game. The adaptor disappears from the device manager list and the wifi tab setting disappears from the windows network and internet settings. I have tried resetting windows and doing a clean install of the most up to date drivers (20.60.0) and the ones on the gigabyte website (20.30.1). Can anyone help with this problem? Thanks

Daniel

Does the Intel Wireless-AC 9260 support 802.11a/b/g/n in addition to 802.11ac?
