AC 7260 Windows 10 Unrecognized 20.10.2

I was currently running the 20.0.2 driver set that worked fine.  I have a Lenovo T440s.  Their system update software, updated the driver to 20.10.2.  It was listed as "critical" and was auto updated. Once the update happened, windows saw the network adapter in Device Manager, but there was a yellow exclamation, and the system did not have any wireless connectivity.  I tried rebooting to see if that had anything to do with it, and it got stuck on the "restarting" screen.  I had to hard power it down after waiting 10 minutes.

I started down the path of uninstalling the Intel PROSet/Wireless Software, then uninstalled the AC 7260 device in device manager, and cleared the temporary files.  I downloaded the latest 20.10.2 version from Intel, and tried installing after a reboot.  Same issue.  I did not know I had the 20.0.2 version prior at this point.  I was extremely lucky and windows had created a restore point earlier that morning.  I reverted to it, and my wireless was back.  I checked the driver and it was the 20.0.2 (Driver version 18.33.9.3).

I have not attempted to go to 20.10.2 again, and have since disabled lenovo system update from allowing auto installation.

This post is more of a FYI than anything.  I cannot afford to lose the network in the middle of a work day again so will have limited ability to test anything if that is needed.

I have installed the meltdown/spectre patches from MS, and have updated the BIOS for that too.  I'm not sure if that potentially has any barring on this at all (probably not but figured I would mention it).  Those were the most recent significant changes to the system prior to the wireless driver update/failure.

8265 does not reconnect on boot

This issue is present since about 1803, and is very intermittent - it appears to happen more often with a hybrid shutdown/hibernation (Win 10 x64) and less often with a full shutdown.

Event log gives me WLAN Extensibility Module service errors, but it eventually starts successfully - the wifi does not reconnect, however.

A radio toggle fixes the issue and 8265 reconnects to the known network.

This issue is present on 20.50.0, power management of the radio is off.

Would this be an OS-level issue, or is the driver to blame?

(Win10 drivers are hard, no argument there)

Dear Community,

I'm actual in trouble with my laptop, because my MAC adress always changes, if I turn on/off my WLAN. How/Where can I create a static MAC-adress?

I've tried it in the advanced options, but there wasn't a layer for the network-adress.

I hope you can help me.

Thx a lot!

I have an Intel 7260 wireless card in my Dell Inspiron 15 (3521).  It's not the original card it replaces a Dell 1704 wireless card.  In the Device manager it shows a "Bluetooth peripheral device" that it can't find a driver for.  The hardware ID is BTHENUM\{cbecab40-a2c8-4ab3-adc1-de0fe95d8600}_LOCALMFG&0000  What is it and where can I find a driver for it?

8265 Shows up as Bluetooth under network adapters in device manager.

After a couple days of searching I'm putting up the white flag.  Have an Advantech 3520P box running Win 10 64 build 1604 that I'm tying to get an 8265 working on.  Will attach SSU report. Bluetooth seems to work fine, although no serious test since I don't care about it, but no WIFI available.  No networks showing up.  Device manager shows a new network adapter, but not the 8265 I would expect, instead it shows up as a Bluetooth device.  Network connections shows same thing.  I can access properties and configure settings like any other NIC, but Windows is not recognizing this as a WIFI interface.   If I go into my settings and disable Bluetooth, my network adapter disappears in network connections.  So it appears that even though I have the ability to set properties like a normal NIC, it is really only a Bluetooth device.

CMD: netsh wlan show all indicates no wireless interface.

I did check my WLAN service and made sure it was set to auto

Checked to make sure my discovery was turned on

Downloaded and installed 20.50.0 PROSet64_Win10 (which I believe includes latest drivers, but not too sure)

Used the above software to setup a profile with all my connection info.

I'm sure it is something simple but, uncle

Thanks in advance.

Wireless network disconnection with NETwNs64 event log

Operating System:    Microsoft Windows 7 Professional(6.1.7601 Build 7601)

I'm using  Intel(R) Dual Band Wireless-N 7260  and the driver version is  18.33.12.2 which is the newest one I think.

My wifi network is disconnected frequently with "NETwNs64" event log which ID is 5007 and 5032.

But the NETwNs64 is missing in my computer. So I can not see the log detail.

I can not fix this problem until OS reboot.

How can I fix this permanently?

Wireless driver spamming Windows Event Log

This is for a Intel Dual Band Wireless-AC 8260 chip on a Lenovo P50. The driver for the wireless chip keeps posting this to the Application Event Log every 9-11 seconds:

Source: Netwtw06

Event ID: 7023

Level: Information

Content: 7077 - Intel proprietary

It's cluttering my event log and making it difficult to find anything useful.

I have the latest version of the driver (20.30.1).

Is there any way to turn off this event logging? Or can it be removed in the next version?

I have looked everywhere, and I cannot find a specificationIntel Wireless-Ac 9260 antenna connectors

I have looked everywhere and I cannot find a specification for the connectors that connect the antenna to the WiFi card. Can anyone shed any light on the specific type I need? I've ordered 3 sets now - only one fits, bit that set won't work in the situation I need it (space constraint) and I tried bending the connector on the pigtail and ot broke. So I'm looking for a roght-angle connector in the right size.

Antenna connector for 9560NGW wifi card?

I have the Intel 9560NGW wifi card, which is for the M2 connector on my motherboard (Type E).  What is the name or size of the antenna connectors on this card, please?  They are small, but do not seem to fit the antennas I found with tiny connectors.  If someone can suggest particular antennas for it, preferably that can go to the outside of a case, that would be even better.

Intel Wireless Bluetooth "driver is unavailable"

Hi there,

I recently bought this product which has WiFi and Bluetooth: Asus PCE-AC55BT Dual-Band Wireless-AC1200 PCI-E Adapter.

The WiFi works. The bluetooth does not work however. If I click on Windows settings > Devices it says "Driver is unavailable". I installed the Intel Drive and Support Assistant and ran a scan - it says I have the latest Bluetooth driver (20.50.1.2).

If go to device manager there is an "unknown device" which is the above bluetooth device. However there is also "Intel Wireless Bluetooth" in the bluetooth category.

I have no other bluetooth devices installed.

My computer specs:Intel® Core™ i7-8700K CPU @ 3.70GHz;  ASUSTeK COMPUTER INC. PRIME Z370-A; Windows 10 Pro 64 bit.

How do I get the bluetooth to work?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Simon

Using Intel Wireless-AC 9260 Bluetooth feature only...

Hello, We have an application which requires BLE 5.0. We would also like to use external antennas for Bluetooth.

Unfortunately the PC which handles the communication has no available slots (either PCIe or M.2).

As stated in the technical brief, the adapter exposes through its M.2 interface PCIe and USB.

Is the Bluetooth section of the adapter exposed through the USB interface of the M.2 connector?

Could this be connected to an USB port on the PC through a custom interface?

Thank you.

I have 3 questions to the Intel Tri-Band Wireless-AC 18265:

1. Should it work with 8th Generation I7 CPUs?

2. Should it work with the Gigabit Antenna-M 10041R?

3. What is the difference between the Gigabit Antenna-M 10041R and the Gigabit Antenna-M 10101R?

Thanks

Intel dual band wireless AC 3160 frequent disconnects

$

Hello everyone, hope you're having a good day/ evening.

I'm having a weird driver issue with the computer I use at work.

777.jpg

The motherboard is an ASrock H110M-ITX/AC and the operating system is windows 10.

The wireless module of the motherboard is intel's  AC 3160. I have updated its drivers to the latest version from asrock's website (not intel's).

The issue I have is frequent disconnects to the point of the wifi being unusable and me having to reboot (in which case the wifi drops again, minutes later).

We're talking 50 wifi drops per day. The cables of the antennae are fine, the antennae are screwed to the case tightly and the router is close by. The computer is unobstructed and has no metal barriers around it.

The connection will drop, at which point the network name disappears from the list and I'll have to reboot the adaptor or the computer for it to appear again.

It then connects, then drops. Then it's stable for a couple of minutes, or half an hour, and then drops again.

I have found a temporary "solution" of using a USB dongle to maintain the connection, but for curiosity's sake and for helping others who probably have the same issue I'd like to solve this if possible (with your help of course).

Any kind of advice is welcome.

Computer specs

Motherboard: ASrock H110M-ITX/AC (wireless module intel 3160)

CPU: Intel i3-7100 3.9GHz

GPU: ASUS AMD R7 250 1GB DDR5

RAM: 8GB

OS: Windows 10 home 64bit

When I use AC 9260 to open the mobile hotspot, I can't turn on the 5G mobile hotspot. I can only use the 2.4G external RF. How can I turn on the 5G mobile hotspot?

The second problem is that after opening the mobile hotspot, the signal is not stable, and it will be disconnected once every 3 minutes. How can we solve this problem?

thanks

Status Device Power Failure on Intel Wireless Bluetooth

Good Day,

I'm getting the message:

This device cannot start. (Code 10)

STATUS_DEVICE_POWER_FAILURE

I've tried all the tasks I've seen in other posts, including uninstalling and reinstalling the Bluetooth Device, updating my BIOS, rolling back the last update, etc., and am still getting the same message.  Is it possible the Bluetooth transmitter is actually malfunctioning?

I've attached the SSU results from my PC, thank you in advance for any assistance you can provide!

Cannot update to newest drivers 20.50.0 because Windows 10 refuses to let me.

Just built a computer with a gigabyte ab350n motherboard that has an intel dual band 3165 wifi chip in it

I've come across the following errors (LOTS OF THEM)

The network interface "Intel(R) Dual Band Wireless-AC 3165" has begun resetting.

5007 - TX/CMD timeout (TfdQueue hanged)

Intel(R) Dual Band Wireless-AC 3165 : The network adapter has returned an invalid value to the driver

As a result of these issues my computer has been plagued with the dpc_watchdog_violation. The computer literally JUST now restarted.

Any time I do anything related to downloading or streaming the computer stutters and I have issues.
