Greetings, I have Intel Core i 5 8th Gen. Windows 10 Pro 64--bit. I have all the latest updates. I have installed Intel Support and Driver Assistant. I attempted to install Intel ProSet/Wireless software v 20.70.0. The reply was, installation blocked. The software package cannot be installed on your system. Please resolve these errors and retry installation. Thank you.
Hello,
I want to ask where I can find drivers for old wireless adapters if I need? Because how we can see here Intel removed a lot of drivers from official site.
The problem is those drivers were the most recent you could find on the Internet. And now they are gone.
The question is where I can download drivers for those network adapters now?
What should I do in the case I have Intel® WiMAX/WiFi Link 5150? There is no inbox drivers in any Windows versions that I use. And this network adapter still very useful.
From Intel quote:
"We can't continue to update legacy drivers that are no longer supported. // So do not update just leave the last version.
Protecting our customers’ data and ensuring the security of our products are top priorities at Intel. // Just mark that those products are outdated and could present security risks. Just leave the drivers.
We'll provide only drivers that have the most recent security mitigations applied. // So provide drivers for more recent adapters. Just leave the last drivers for legacy ones.
You may check with your system manufacturer to see if they still provide drivers for your system. // My manufacturer drivers are even more outdated that Intel had on their own site. They present even more risks than drivers you had.
In addition, there may be an inbox driver available depending upon the wireless adapter and Windows* Operating System.": // For some adapters there is no Windows OS drivers. Just leave the drivers.
Thanks.
I have a Dell i5-8th gen laptop with intel ac-3165 wifi adapter
My download speed is only half (35Mbps) of what all other pc's and phones make (65-68Mbps)
So clearly, problem is not on the router side.
I tried all kind fo solutions, settings, new drivers etc. Nothing helped.
Wifi adapter (laptop) is connected to router at 72.2 Mbps while my phone for example is connected at 144Mbps
Can you please help me? This is my last hope.

Hello,
we have a some problems with wifi roaming. Wifi adapter roaming no matter if signal strength is excellent or not. Roaming agresivity setting have no influence on this behavior.
Do you have any experience with this behavior or any suggestions what could be root cause of this issue? Am I able to find some detailed logs in Windows, which can describe why network adapter roam to different AP?
Thanks in advance,
Jan

Hello,
I'm use AC 9260 adapter with latest drivers:
Intel® Wireless Bluetooth® Windows® 10 x64 Ver 20.70.0
Intel® PROSet/Wireless driver Windows® 10 x64 Ver 20.70.0
When I tray to connect to AC 9260 using Bluetooth in BLE 5.0 mode from our device based on Nordic nRF52840chip, AC 9260 allow only connect in BLE 4.0 mode:
PHY: 1 Mbps, ATT MTU = 23 bytes, Data_Length 27, Connection interval: 7.5 millisecs and reject any other option.
Please tell me, how can I enable BLE 5.0 in AC 9260?
Thanks,
Gregory
We have 2 Dell laptops (Latitude 7490 & 5580). Both have the Intel 8265 ac wireless card installed. Both are running windows 10.
Both have been experiencing extremely slow wireless download speeds. By slow I mean less than 1mb down. Upload speeds appear to be fine. This problem occurs on any wireless network (users homes, our work, Starbucks, etc.).
Changing the MTU from 1500 to 1400 on the card worked for about a week, Now their speeds are slow yet again.
Wired internet works fine.
Dell replaced one of the wireless cards and the speeds are still slow.slow.
Both are using the latest Intel drivers.
I am using the Dell G7 laptop, with an Intel i-7-8750H processor and a dual band 9560 card.
On my 5.0 ghz wave, I am getting upload speeds of 400+ mbps but my download speed is capped at around 70mbps. My download is capped at 70mbps regardless of whether i am connected to the 2.4 ghz or 5.0 ghz wave. I should be getting at least similar download speeds relative to my upload speed, but this is not the case.
Never seen this before.
Methods I have tried to mitigate the problem or verify what the problem is.
Verifying whether it is a router problem:
1. Used my Galaxy S8+ and connected to the same 5.0 ghz wave. I obtained around 360mbps download and 300mbps upload.
Verifying whether it is a laptop hardware issue.
1. Connected my Dell G7 via a Cat 6 ethernet cable through the ethernet port. I received download speeds of around 950 mbps, indicating that the laptop is capable of such speeds. Naturally, using a wireless connection would yield slower speeds, but 70 mbps is bit too small.
Seems to be a problem with the intel wireless 9560 card. It is baffling that i am getting upload speeds 7-8 times faster than my download speed.

Link 2: With Cat 6 ethernet cable LAN connection

ALL download/ upload speeds were measured using Ookla Speed Test.
As title mentions, This Device cannot start.
I Have tried trouble shooting, and this error comes up.
I tried to do a clean install of the drivers, a network reset. and even did a pc reset but this issue still comes up.
Could it be a hardware problem instead of a software problem at this rate?
In my device manager this issue shows,
This device cannot start. (Code 10)
{Operation Failed}
The requested operation was unsuccessful.
Any help?

Hello,
we choose flexible plannar antennas Molex 146153-1300 to our currently developed product that has internal PC motherboard with M2 PCI slot.
Antennas will be used with Intel 9260NGW.NV wireless module.
Unit will be sale worldwide including EUR, US, Canada, Korea and New Zealand.
Do we need any additional certification to use this antennas with Intel wifi module?
Do you have any further information on this?
We presume, that we can just use any internal wifi antenna that will be suitable to our design with Intel wifi module and than use FCC ID of that wifi module.
Because antenna is passive part and is in range specified by table above, we assume that it does not need any other FCC certifiction. Correct?
Please let me know if there is any question,
Thank you

I recognize that I'm asking for support for some pretty outdated technology. None-the-less, I figure what's the harm in asking, right?
I want to setup digital faxing on my Windows 10 64bit computer. I happened to have an intel 537EPG 56K Modem kicking around and decided to try to get it running on my win 10 PC, however have been unable to find drivers for windows 10 and the automatic search yields no results. Am I simply out of luck on this one or is there a way to get windows 10 to use an older driver, or perhaps does a driver for this card exist somewhere that would allow it to run in win 10?
Thank you for your time.
Hi,
I updated Wireless Bluetooth driver to the newest version (20.70.0). Bluetooth has not been working since then. It's not even visible in Device Manager.
Everything was working great till the update.
Already tried to:
- downgrade the driver (to 20.60.0),
- reinstall newest driver,
- restart my pc.
No luck though.
My setup:
Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-4570S CPU @ 2.90GHz
Gigabyte Z97N-Gaming 5
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 750 Ti
Windows 10 Pro 64-bit (10.0, Build 17738) (insider build)
what else can I do?
SSO log attached.
I have recently purchased a Dell G5 5587 and I am currently experiencing issues with the wifi card. When I go into device manager it says that there is an error 10 code. When I look into the event viewer the message in the title pops up.
I have already tried resetting the laptop to the factory state which fixes the problem temporarily and then the same problem reappears. I have also tried doing a network reset but that didn't fix the problem either.
I don't know what is causing the problem since the wifi card works after I factory reset my laptop but the device breaks again a few days after. Please help.
