Intel 9560NGW PCIe connection

Hello,

my question is regarding INTEL 9560NGW Wireless module. I am trying to test this module on mini ITx board with intel core i3.  I am using Fujitsu D3436-S adapter for connection of wifi module to mini PCIe slot on ITx board. But after power up, wifi module is not recognized by OS and I cannot see it in Device Manager also. I think that this might be a HW issue, as I tried it on several ITx boards with same result. Should I use different adapter? Can you recommend solution?

Thank you

WiFi Association Issues In Windows 10

$

I have noticed questions in multiple forums about wifi being unable to connect on 5Ghz on multiple cards from Intel (as well as a few with 2.4Ghz), and I myself had seen these issues, with the Wireless-AC 7260, the Dual Band Wireless-N 3165, as well as the Wireless-AC 9260.

I realize that this post might be more suited on the Microsoft forums, however I am merely posting this (after having checked that no one else had already posted this, or similar, content) to provide information about this particular issue, which had started sometime in the last few months.

On Windows 10 1709 (x64) and 1803 (x64) (I could not check on anything older), when you try connecting to a wireless network (usually on the 5Ghz band, but sometimes also on the 2.4Ghz band), it would see the network, however would fail to connect, due to the adapter restarting itself during the association stage.

My situation is a fringe case, due to my wireless networks being hidden, so I had also checked this with visible networks, and the issue had persisted.

On Linux there are absolutely no issues (I had checked on both Solus and Ubuntu).

This may or may not be a driver issue, however I had also seen this happen once on the Qualcomm QCNFA435 (a.k.a. the Dell Wireless 1810) on Windows 10 1607.

Update: Fixed grammer due to missing word.

AC 8265 constantly resetting

Hi Support,

I am having a problem with the AC 8265 wireless adapter in my Lenovo Yoga 720.

It is constantly resetting, reporting the following events:

     5007 - TX/CMD timeout (TfdQueue hanged

The network interface "Intel(R) Dual Band Wireless-AC 8265" has begun resetting.  There will be a momentary disruption in network connectivity while the hardware resets. Reason: The network driver requested that it be reset. This network interface has reset 48 time(s) since it was last initialized.

Intel(R) Dual Band Wireless-AC 8265 : The network adapter has returned an invalid value to the driver.

This has happened since I bought the machine. I have actually returned the first machine over this issue as it was unusable. Now the issue has surfaced in the second machine.

I have tried downloading the latest drivers (currently using 20.60.0.7), uninstalling and 'discovering' the adaptor, but my wireless connection is unusable.

Are you able to help?

Thanks

Simon

dual band wireless-ac 3160 wifi problems

Hello! Like a month ago I started having problems with the WiFi board on mi laptop. It is a Compaq laptop running the latest Windows 10 distribution (1803). In the device manager, the adapter vanishes time to time, so basically it works somedays, some doesn´t I really don´t know the pattern. Rebooting does not always fix this.

So far I have tried to upgrade/downgrade drivers, remove and install back the card itself on the M2 slot and yesterday I reinstalled the OS itslef, after buying a new SSD.

A NOTE: the bluetooth works just fine, and I understand that the same network card is used for both WiFi and Bluetooth, so I wanna believe that the hardware is not dead.

Any guess?

Hi,

We are developing medical immaging device with WIFI connection, and it should be capable to provide 5GHz AP mode, but this is locked on standard 8265 module.

is there a way how to enable 5GHz AP mode on Intel 8265NGW WiFi module? Can you provide unlocked FW or does Intel sell version with unlocked 5GHz AP mode?

Thank you

Slow speeds with Wireless-N 7260

Hello,

I am having very slow download speeds (6 Mbps) when I'm connected to the wireless router.  When I'm connected directly to the modem, I get speeds around 65 Mbps.  My wife's computer, however, gets speeds around 45 Mbps when it is connected to the internet.  I've looked online for other help, but haven't been able to find anything.  I have Windows 10 on a Dell Inspiron 7437.  Thanks!

Internet Faster on Phone than PC

Every time I do a speed test from my phone and computer, it's faster on my phone by 5-13 mb/s. My computer gets 6-11 mb/s and my phone gets 16-20 mb/s from speed tests. My internet is pretty slow, but I don't see why it would be faster on my phone than my pc. I use wireless for my computer.

Wireless driver spamming Windows Event Log

This is for a Intel Dual Band Wireless-AC 8260 chip on a Lenovo P50. The driver for the wireless chip keeps posting this to the Application Event Log every 9-11 seconds:

Source: Netwtw06

Event ID: 7023

Level: Information

Content: 7077 - Intel proprietary

It's cluttering my event log and making it difficult to find anything useful.

I have the latest version of the driver (20.30.1).

Is there any way to turn off this event logging? Or can it be removed in the next version?

Intel AC 8265 keeps dropping connection driver problem

My device is Zenbook UX430UN with Intel Dual Band Wireless-AC 8265 with driver version : 20.30.0.7. I got an occurring problem where suddenly I don't receive internet for 10 minutes, even when I near the router, I've checked the connection bar information on windows and weirdly it has a 100% connection signal, it even says that it has a great signal quality from control panel (and it says internet access), the network is working flawlessly on many devices (All phones tablet running android (various devices and OSs) and iOS device worked fine). At first I thought it must be windows 10 problem, but since I DUAL BOOTED my device with Ubuntu AND THE PROBLEM STILL PERSIST, I'm confident it must be something with the wireless adapter!!

Surprise-surprise there's a lot of people experiencing this exact problem in intel own forum with the EXACT MODEL from last year, and wtf intel? Still no fix? Or you just don't care.

o AC8260 & AC8265 major connection issues with Asus routers ...

o intel wireless ac8260 connection issue

o https://www.cyberpowerpc.com/forum/intel-dual-band-wirelessac-8260-wifi-problems_topic51171.html

I ran windows diagnostic multiple times and each attempt is showing different error message :

o Windows could not automatically detect this network's proxy settings

o Your computer appears to be correctly configured, but the device or resource (primary DNS server) is not responding

o website (wpad.local) is online but isn't responding to connection

     - The remote computer isn't responding to connections on port 80, possibly due to firewall or security policy settings, or because it might be temporarily unavailable.

I also run flush the DNS, reset the wireless adapter, still no luck.

And its so weird that this issue only happened to this specific router :

Software VersionRP2648
Hardware VersionWKF2.134.285f4G
Device ModelAN5506-04-F
Device DescriptionGPON
ONU StateO5(STATE_OPERATION)
ONU Regist StateOK
LOIDfiberhome
CPU Usage1.00%
Memory Usage45.62%
Web Server port80

Since I traveled alot, this problem never occur during hotspot from my phone, but I'm confident its the AC 8265's problem

I've reset the router couple times yet the problem still persist, the only way to solve this right now is to manually shut down my router, surf the web for 5 minutes just to lost it again (I have to do this over and over again!), I contacted my ISP technician (Telkom Indihome Indonesia) (since they the one that provided the router) and they assume it has to do with my wireless adapter, hard to say, but I believed them.

If you're going to tell to :
o Reinstall windows, I ain't gonna do that! I've tried it on Ubuntu and its still showing the exact same issue! So don't tell me to do that.o Update your wireless driver, 20.30.0.7 is the latest from intel

o Reset your router, I've done it!

And pleaase for the sake of god! My ISP already blamed intel for their poor wireless adapter, I don't want this to became a blaming game between Intel and my ISP (router provider).

Hallo,

BAD_POOL_CALLER error trying to use windows 8.1 laptop as a WiFi hotspot.

The title explains the question pretty well. Anytime I try to use my windows laptop as a WiFi hotspot, it ends up crashing about 30 seconds in and I end up getting a BAD_POOL_CALLER error. I am currently using the Intel Dual Band Wireless driver recommended from the Asus website (which is my brand of computer). I have tried using the most recent version from the Intel website, but it ends up causing a different error all together (DPC_WATCHDOG_VIOLATION if I remember correctly). I've tried factory resetting my computer on two different occasions and tried a couple different versions of the driver with no luck. As of now, all my drivers are fully up to date (with the exception of the Wireless driver since I'm using the one the Asus site recommends). Does anyone have an idea on how I can fix this?

Upgrading from 3160HMW to 7260HMW

I'm looking to upgrade my MSI laptop's wireless-AC card from a 3160HMW to 7260HMW.  The 7260HMW was discontinued by Intel quite a while ago, so I'm checking the secondary markets for a card.  I see a lot of the wireless-AC cards available for the secondary market are labeled "PTA APPROVED MODEL".  I presume that the label is to satisfy Pakistani regulations for sale of radio equipment here, but is the underlying hardware exactly the same as other 7260HMW cards sold in the rest of the world?  That is, if I bought a "PTA" card for use in Canada, would it work?

Thanks,

AC8265 WiFi Module Power Consumption

Hi,

I'm wondering if there is somewhere I can find detail on the power consumption of the AC8265 wireless module. There is no mention in the product datasheet. I'm aware there are different models, some marketed as "low power" but where can I find actual power consumption figures for these modules?

Bluetooth stopped working on my 8260AC

I have it installed in a desktop running Win10 Pro 64-bit.  The latest Proset and Bluetooth drivers are installed - everything on the PC from OS to BIOS is the latest.  The Wifi seems to work fine, but there is no Bluetooth device installed in the system according to the OS.  There is no BT device listed in device manager, nor are there any unknown devices listed.  The Bluetooth worked on this PC previously - I played music from the PC to the Bluetooth speakers on my entertainment system several times before.  I went to do so again and discovered the lack of any Bluetooth device. The PC is a Dell and they couldn't figure it out - they sent me all new card/chassis/cable/antenna and it still doesn't show - they are useless and cannot fix the issue, so I came to the source, Intel, for the solution.

How do I get my Bluetooth back?

Wireless-AC 8260 Disconnects Sproadically

Hi,

We have multiple Lenovo and Dell Laptops that are running Intel(R) Dual Band Wireless-AC 8260 with Windows 10

Our APs are Cisco Aironet 1602i

I'm running driver version 20.60.0.7 but we have previously been running older drivers.

We have been experiencing issues with the Wifi Dropping for around 5-6 pings, during this period we would be disconnected from any Remote desktop sessions and Citrix windows would crash and Skype for business will disconnect. Cisco have looked at the issue and can see that the machine although is static will roam between 2 APs, the majority of the time you can see that this successfully reassociates. They have confirmed that the machine its deciding when to re-associate. Sometimes the failure can occur and the machine will reconnect to the same controller.

There is an entry in the event logs for:6105 - deauth after EAPOL key exchange sequence

We have had this issue with Windows 8 aswell however, it was was no where near as often as with Windows 10 and was generally accepted. However now it is happening 3-4 times a day per laptop and is becoming a huge issue.

We have setup a old Windows 7 machine laptop which has a completely different WLAN card. We are waiting to see if the issue occurs, I'm confident taht the issue lies with the 8260 cards.

Has anyone else experienced this issue?

I have an MSI laptop with this card for three years. I have been suffering with this issue. The guy who claims to have half a dozen of these without any problem could just be lucky or hired by Intel to claim these cards are good. There are definitely people like him out there. This card sure has been an issue, and there are just so many threads of people suffering with this issue out there if he minds of googling them. It is definitely not an "opinion". I have send my laptop back to MSI for more than five times. The issue still persist. It is clear that this is not due to a malfunctioning card but a poor designed product line. I called Intel customer support for directions. Never was it fixed.

I tend to believe is a Bluetooth issue. I have experience using this card with my Bluetooth mouse, and it experience an significant lag no matter which mouse company I use. There was a time I somehow accidentally removed the three Intel Bluetooth services by using sc delete command since I was having issue to uninstall Intel's Bluetooth driver as it kept appears to not find the uninstall .msi package. Until I was able to reinstall it, I did not experienced any wireless dropout.

Also, they have not been updating the driver for a long time. Although there seem to be new software starting with version 20, the installed drivers have been 18 for a long time.

Disable beeping sound when changing Bluetooth audio volume

My laptop has an Intel Wi-Fi + Bluetooth chip. I have updated to the latest driver version, 20.60.0.4.

The problem is, that Intel's Bluetooth driver seems to ignore Windows sound scheme (I disabled all sound effects), and plays a beeping sound when I change the audio volume of Bluetooth audio. How can I disable that beeping sound?

What Intel mini PCI-E card is the most recommended to replace the Wireless 7260-N?

Since the Intel Wireless-N 7260 is faulty since a long time ago, the driver updates did not fix the issues. I want to replace it but I don't know which is compatible.

I have an Acer Aspire v7-582p-54204g52tkk, May I have a list of mini PCI-e wireless cards that is compatible and works well? Considering range and speed. Thanks.
