Disable WiGig not Available

To whom it might take care,

I have a Dell Latitude 5285 2n1 detachable that it's configured with the Intel Wireless TriBand 18265, I installed the most recent Wireless Dock Manager software (v. 3.0.53144.1) in order to disable the WiGig component however when I click on the settings icon the disable option isn't there the only thing I can see its the information on the below image. Please confirm the following doubts I have:

  1. Do I need WLD15 docking to connect to my system in order to disable this component?
  2. I researched about this card and it looks like the card consumes more power than a dual band card due to the fact that the card has to enable the 60Ghz band.
  3. I found that when the device it is NOT connected to a wireless docking but it is connected to a wireless router still the card consumes the same amount of power than when the system is connected to wireless router as well as connect to the wireless docking.

Attached you'll find the info about the device in case you need it.

Regards,

Jhon S.

intel wireless-ac 3165 wireless adapter not working on Dell Inspiron 13 laptop

Since January my wifi adapter is disabled intermittently. Sometimes it comes back on after I try a few things like reinstalling drivers but this happens randomly. On device manager the adapter is disabled with error code 45.

Details:

- Dell inspiron 13 laptop 7000 series, service tag (DSJZ2C2)

- Windows 10

- proset wireless software version 20.40.0, driver version 19.51.11.2

What I have tried:

- uninstall and clean install of driver, at first repairing proset installation worked too. Also tried the driver version not packaged as proSet...that didn't help either.

- dell factory reset and tried previous Bios versions, rolling back on windows updates (the adapter was detected only briefly and stopped after the next restart)

- also tried system restore to a point in time where I did have wifi, this helped initially but then I ran into a BSOD situation when I tried an earlier system restore to get it working again.

- network reset, didn't make a difference

I am out of options now and can only access internet through my ethernet connection which is not ideal. I would appreciate any help or suggestions!

Intel ac8260 dual-band wireless/bluetooth pci-e intermittently disconnects from router

I'm struggling with my wireless card dropping wifi signal momentarily at irregular intervals (anywhere from once every ten minutes to once per hour). Previously this was a minor issue that would correct itself rather quickly (the connection to the router was restored in seconds and any streamed application would return to normal function within 30 seconds). After recent driver updates, however, the connection to the router does not always restore reliably. Each time the connection drops now, the only solution I have found is to forget the network and immediately reconnect to it. This has happened before with this device, but previous solutions no longer work.

Thus far, I have:

Ensured all drivers are up to date

Disabled U-APSD

Updated the BIOS on the motherboard

Disabled Bluetooth

Please help,

Thanks

Dell Laptop. Intel Dual Band Wireless AC 3165. Defective hardware?

Intel Support Community,

I have a Dell Laptop that is equipped with the M.2 form factor Intel AC 3165. I have been having latency issues and low download speed (75 - 255ms, 0.78 - 3.45 Mbps), upload is fine. I have a desktop with a Linksys brand USB wireless adapter and a latency of around 60ms, and a download speed of around 45 Mbps on 2G. Wireless network speed is 65 Mbps download and 5 Mbps upload.

I have completed these troubleshooting steps:

1. Ran a Symantec Norton full system scan, no malware or viruses

2. Deleted browsing history and cookies

3. Restarted computer

4. Checked wireless network using multiple devices (desktop computer, Android mobile phones); 45-65 Mbps download and ~ 55ms latency (expected, 2G and 5G)

5. Switched from 2G to 5G

6. Updated drivers to 19.51.11.2, then restarted the computer

7. Reset the adapter in Device Manager (disable, then enable)

8. Used different internet browsers

9. Checked for background tasks or applications using bandwidth

10. Checked general properties, "This device is working properly."

Possible cause:

Power surge hit my house a couple of days prior to the network issues; no surge protector, and the laptop was plugged into wall power.

Are there any other troubleshooting steps I can try to determine the cause, or if I need to order a new adapter?

Thanks,

Matt L.

Intel 8260 support of 802.11k - issue

Having an issue with 802.11k roaming, was wondering if there is a setting or something that we need to do to enable this. We are using Panasonic FZ-M1 tablets with the latest drivers from the manufacturer's website. Attached is the support file from the client with the adapter. The WLAN is using Open WPA2 authentication. Each time it roams the connection is fully dropped and reauthenticated and not showing any improvement over not enabling 802.11k on the AP.

My N2230 works fine as a Bluetooth device but not at all as WiFi! - What can I do?

Hello,

on my Dell Vostro 1520 (GM45-Chipset, no whitelisting as far as I know) both drivers (Bluetooth and Wireless) for the N2230-Card could be installed successfully without any error message under Win 7 32bit.

Bluetooth works fine without any issues.

Wifi doesn't work at all. "N2230" is listed as a network device, but marked yellow (could not be started, Code 10)

OS installation is fresh, new and clean. The current original intel driver is the first and only one installed for the N2230 (no driver provided by Dell, not integrated as OEM)

There are no other issues in the device manager.

Bios version is newest - A08.

Unfortunetely I don't have another compatible laptop to test the card in another environment.

What can I do?

Regards

I have been unable to successfully maintain a bluetooth connection since installing this product in September of 2016.  I have tried literally dozens of attempts of uninstalling and updating drivers to no avail.  The device will work perfectly on its initial reinstallation but will fail on pc restart or reboot.

Here are some screenshots of the errors I am seeing and system report:

Any help you can provide would be appreciated.

My Wifi connection constantly disconnects on Windows 10

Hi! I just bought a brand new PC that includes an Intel(R) Dual Band Wireless-AC 3168 network adapter card. It just to work just fine until yesterday. Without updating anything, it suddenly started to constantly disconnect me from the network. I tried uninstalling the adapter and re-updating everything, I tried installing the drivers from Intel's website, I tried uninstalling my antivirus, and I tried disabling the save power settings of my network. Unfortunately for me, it's still happening and I can't stay in the network for 10 seconds.

It works perfect when I use a wired connection, so I guess the problem is related to my wireless network adapter. I would appreciate to get any kind of help on this issue.

Thank you so much for reading this!

Intel 8265 Randomly Lost Bluetooth

Hi,

I replaced the Intel 8260 in my laptop with an Intel 8625 about a month ago, the old card got damaged and failed. Long story, I assure you it's not relevant to this.

The Wifi on the 8265 is still working fine, I'm using it right now. However, the Bluetooth randomly failed about an hour ago and I'm not having any luck fixing it myself.

The Wifi portion of the card reports correctly to Windows 10 and shows up in Device Manager, the Bluetooth card does not report to Windows correctly, it seems to appear in Device Manager as "Unknown USB Device (Device Descriptor Request Failed)", and I can't get it to pick up Intel's Bluetooth drivers no matter what I try. I still have a "Bluetooth" page in Windows 10's Settings, but all of my paired devices say "Bluetooth is turned off" and I don't have the on/off toggle that's normally at the top of that page.

I've restarted the computer, I've uninstalled the device, disabled/re-enabled it, gotten Intel's most up to date drivers (for both the Wifi and Bluetooth), and I've tried finding similar issues on Google. No luck.

Can someone please help me sort this out?

Hello,

Using the ONLY driver for the 9260 I cannot get this to work on my laptop (HP Envy x360).

Event 5010, Netwtw06

Intel(R) Wireless-AC 9260: The network adapter has returned an invalid value to the driver.

Event 5032, Netwtw06

5032 - Driver Miniport reset watchdog

Event 5055, Netwtw06

Is this an incompatibility with the laptop, a driver issue, or is the hardware actually failed.

Intel® Dual Band Wireless-AC 3168 Ryzen/BSOD issues

Hello

I have same issue as topic starter but with Intel 3128 WiFi adapter. Same errors in system log and BSODs.

As I can see March driver update fixed this issues for 9xxx and 18xxx lines.

But for 3xxx line driver in March and February wasn't changed (19.51.11.2). And it's very buggy on Ryzen platform.

When can we get new stable driver for 3xxx line?

I recently installed Intel 9260 and it worked perfectly for 2 days. Then the Bluetooth icon disappeared from the sys tray and on button was completely gone from Windows Settings/Devices.

Within device Bluetooth is also gone unless I show hidden devices. I uninstalled all hidden Bluetooth devices and reinstalled but i still do have Bluetooth in device manager hidden or not. I've also tried the below post from another post but still no Bluetooth.. I have also tried win10 image restore from the initial working install which also did not work. I will include my ssu file if you can help please advise

  1. Download and save the latest drivers:
    1. Latest Bluetooth and Wireless drivers.
  2. Uninstall the Intel® PROSet/Wireless and Bluetooth Software.
    1. Open Programs and Features (Uninstall a program) from the Control Panel.
    2. Select Uninstall or Change and then Remove.
    3. When prompted, choose to discard settings.
  3. Uninstall your Bluetooth and wireless driver. Windows* with an inbox driver may natively support some wireless adapters. You cannot uninstall an inbox driver. Proceed to the next step if you start seeing the same version of the driver installed automatically after it’s uninstalled.
    1. Go to Device Manager.
    2. Expand the Bluetooth category.
    3. Right-click your Intel Bluetooth and choose to uninstall it.
    4. Make sure to select the option to Delete the driver software for this device.
    5. Follow the same steps for your Intel Wireless adapter found at the Network Adapters category.
  4. Clear out your temporary files.
    1. Press the Windows* key and R key simultaneously to open the run box.
    2. Type in: cleanmgr.exeand press the Enter key or OK.
    3. Place a check mark next to Temporary Files. You can leave everything else checked or unchecked.
    4. Press OK and wait.
  5. Reboot your computer.
  6. Locate the driver you downloaded back in Step 1. Run as administrator and follow the wizard to completion. Make sure you install the Bluetooth drivers first before installing the wireless drivers

Hello,

i have troubles with W-Lan on my ProBook 645 G3. The W-Lan doesn't work. The Hardware ID is ven_8086&dev_095a&subsys_50108086&rev_59 . The last driver 19.51.11.2 is installed and i use Windows 10 1709 x64.

On a ProBook 645 G2 with hardware id ven_8086&dev_095a&subsys_50108086&rev_61 the W-Lan works fine.

So wich driver i had to use? And why have my newer notebook an older revision number?

with best regards

HP AY168SA, stock configuration with replacement wifi card & clean install of Windows 10

Using the latest Intel PRO set drivers (March 20).

Using latest HP BIOS & drivers.

With secure boot turned on, the error is very inconsistent and the event log shows a variety of obscure error messages.

With secure boot turned off, the card fails to initialise with "The miniport has failed a power transition to operational power" (followed by a variety of assorted error messages) after the machine has been in stand by. restarting the machine brings the card back online. Uninstalling and reinstalling the card, or disabling it, causes the machine to hard reset.
