I recently installed the Dual Band Wireless-AC 7260 for desktop into my PC. It will connect to the 5GHz signal from my router (Netgear R6300) however Windows says it is connected to 802.11N and achieves a maximum speed of around 390Mbps, and I noticed that it has no IPv6 connectivity, which I had before installing the card. I have a laptop that supports AC and connects to the AC signal from my router. I have updated the drivers to the latest driver for both the router and the adapter, and receive excellent signal strength. I am running Windows 7 64bit. I have also noticed through the Intel Proset software it detects that the 5ghz signal is AC and N bands. Any help will be appreciated, thanks.

Dual Wireless-n 7260 reduces connection speed after a few minutes
I have a new Asus notebook with a Dual Wireless-n 7260 wifi network adapter. The notebook has Windows 8.1 64 bit installed, and the bios and drivers are up to date. It is wirelessly connected to my home router. I have a wireless-n connection with 40-mhz channel width with WPA2/AES security settings. The router is 2+ years old, and has the latest firmware installed.
My notebook and my router both initially report a connection speed of 300mbps (which is normal for 802.11n with 40mhz channel width) at the beginning. Then, after a couple of hours, the connection speed drops to 11mbps. No settings have changed on my computer or router. The router works fine for other devices, and has worked fine for over a year. It is not an interference issue, since there are other wireless-n devices on the network which are not affected. The speed never reverts back to 300mbps. I never actually lose a connection. Even at 11mbps, I can browse the internet and my network, just at a slower speed. It seems to be this wifi adapter that is at fault, or most likely, the drivers which are at fault.
If I change the channel width to 20mhz, the connection is stable for at least an entire day. Unfortunately, the lower bandwidth affects other devices on the network and is not a permanent fix.
I have tried every version of the driver that I can find.
- the driver initially bundled with Windows (whatever version it is) -- Connection drops down to 11mbps after a while
- 16.0.5.3 -- Same, plus the signal strength indicator in the task bar makes it look like I am losing connection, but it isn't actually lost.
- 16.1.5.2 -- Same
- 16.5.3.6 -- Same
- 16.6.0.8 -- Same
In all versions of the drivers, I have followed Intel's recommended settings, as listed here Wireless Networking — What are the recommended settings for 802.11n connectivity?. There is no difference to the end result.
I am convinced that there is a bug in the drivers that only affects 40-mhz channel width connections. Please advise on what my next steps should be to fix this issue.
Centrino Ultimate N6300 AGN drops connections
Hi!
Today it worked for almost 5 hours.
Then the connection was dropped and Windows 8 reported "limited" connectivity.

Sporadic but recurring connection dropouts on an Intel 6235 wireless adapter
Dear all,
I have the same issues of intermittent sudden connection dropouts as reported by others with the Intel Centrino Advanced-N 6235 Wifi adapter and the Intel Proset 15.x drivers!
My system is a brandnew desktop computer with an Intel i7 3770 Quad-Core CPU, an Intel Z77 chipset, an Asrock Z77E-ITX mainboard, 16 GB of RAM, and Windows 7 64-bit.
Previously, I already encountered the issue with this adapter's predecessor, the Intel Centrino 6230 and only managed to resolve it by going back to an older driver version. If my memory is correct, the Intel Proset 14.x version range worked flawlessly, but the 15.x drivers lead to the dropouts (I always use 64-bit drivers).
These can occur randomly after 5 or after 50 minutes. The adapter suddenly disconnects and won't reconnect to the wireless network unless it is reset. The wireless router itself is fine as there are over a dozen devices from all types of brands that connect regularly to it without any problem at all.
The fact that the problem occurs on two different cards (6230 and 6235) leads me to believe that there is a driver problem.
On the 6235, going back to a 14.x driver does not seem to be an option on the table, because the device seems to be only supported by 15.x versions. I already tried going back from the recent 15.2 version to the previous 15.1.1 (after uninstalling through the device manager), but the problem still persists. Now I just went back to 15.1.0 and it's been ok so far, but i'm not very optimistic.
I have tried different changes in the driver settings but with no success. The problem persists!
I'd be thankful for a solution.
Best regards,
Steve
Drivers for Intel Dual Band Wireless-AC 7260 Card?
Just put a new system together and installed an Intel Dual Band Wireless-AC 7260 in it. Used Windows 8 Pro. x64. I cannot find drivers for the Intel Dual Band Wireless-AC 7260.
Anyone know where I can get drivers for this card? I purchased the card from Provantage.
Intel 6200 AGN problems (need help)
Howdy
I've bought one AGN 6200 (622ANHMW) and there's a quite strange thing happening.
On Windows 7 I cannot get it to work, the drivers install and stuff but it always says "This device cannot start (Code 10)". Taking a look at the event manager, it says that it can't allocate the resources.
What's even more strange is that I booted Ubuntu 10.04 live CD and the card works flawlessly in there.
This is on my laptop, an Acer 4810TG. There's no boot or unsupported device error, even though I've checked the BIOS and the card doesn't seem to appear on the "whitelist".
Does anyone have any ideia of what's up? Don't really wanna be stuck with Ubuntu for wireless networking.
the device is a 8680_4239, SUBSYS 1311
Thanks
Intel® Wireless-N 7260 - slows
Hi,
I have a problem with Intel Wireless-N 7260. The card works just fine, but after a few minutes transfer slows down to about 4Mb/s (802.11n -> 802.11b?).
I tried with all drivers and always have the same problem (now I have ,16.6.0.8). Sometimes the card loses connection and I must reset it.

Intel Wireless AC 7260 Bluetooth stops working
I just bought an Intel NUC and had it running and working for a couple of days. Yesterday, I was streaming music to my bluetooth speakers and then it stopped. WiFi Authentication issues/failed after Standby/Hibernate after Upgrading to Windows 8.1 with Intel 4965AGN on Dell XPS M1330 with Fritz!Box 7330
Before upgrading from Windows 8 to 8.1, everything was working fine on my computer. After upgrading to 8.1 yesterday, it happens, that my Computer does not re-connect to my WiFi after StandBy/Hibernate. I have to disable/enable the Adapter to connect to the WiFi again.
My Router reports that the "Autentication failed" for my adapter's MAC-Address. I have a Fritz!Box 7330 with latest Firmware. The error message is "WLAN-Anmeldung ist gescheitert: Autorisierung fehlgeschlagen".
The Network Adapter is a Intel® Wireless WiFi Link 4965AGN in a Dell XPS M1330.
I went through numerous threads on the forums reporting similar issues with Intel WiFi Adapters, but none of the suggestions fixed my Problem.
I posted the links here: http://how-i-fixed-it.blogspot.de/2013/10/wifi-authentication-issuesfailed-after.html
The Driver Version displayed for the Adapter is 13.3.0.137, dated 15.08.2010 by Microsoft.
Anybody else having similar issues after upgrading from 8 to 8.1? Any ideas, what else to try or how to fix it?

4965agn replacement recommendation, 6300?
I've been having some issues with my 4965agn card as it is not supported in Windows 8, so I'm looking to replace it with one that is. Please correct me if I am mistaken, but the 6300 would appear to be compatible. Any thoughts on that card or other recommendations for alternatives? Thanks.
Bluetooth SW causes overheating
Hi.
I have a Intel 6235 N, and noticed even booting my laptop with bluetooth disabled, the devmonsrv.exe process from Intel driver and SW, takes a huge load on CPU an system idle process. My CPU shoot from its usual 47ºC to an average 80ºC!!!! As soon as kill the process the laptop resumes to normal.
I've searched for similar issues on the internet but only found results regarding games lag with no solution available.
I have latest drivers installed.
Can you please help me fixing this issue?
Thanks.
Dual Band AC-7260 will not connect to 5 Ghz wireless network
I have a HP DV7T-6XXX CTO notebook running Windows 7 x64 that has the wifi card upgraded to the Intel Dual Band Wireless AC-7260 for the purpose of being able to connect to my Motorola SBG6782-AC Dual Band router. The latest drivers have been downloaded and installed from the Intel website. There is no problem connecting to the 2.4 Ghz network and the 5 Ghz network IS visible as an available network but, it will not connect to the internet on the 5 Ghz band. Pinging the router when "connected" on 5 Ghz confirms connection to the router.
I have tried restarting my router, removing all security settings from both the router and computer and have deleted the 2.4 Ghz connection and then set up a new 5 Ghz wireless connection and have also changed adapter settings to "Prefer 5 Ghz" -- all with the same results.
I have contacted Motorola Tech Support and, after almost an hour on the phone with them, the tech was stumped as well so, I'm hoping that someone on here will be able to tell me what I have overlooked. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated. acC network problem
Intel Wireless-N 7260 fails to connect WLAN and Bluetooth with Windows 8.1
Hello Community!
I recently bought a Lenovo T440s with an Intel Wireless-N 7260 Wireless and Bluetooth chip.
The device is amazing, everything went fluently. I updated all the drivers, the BIOS, my software and uninstalled the waste, like cloud saving services, games and so on. Everthing was perfect until i updated to Windows 8.1.
Since this update, the Wireless-N 7260 won't work properly any more. The internet is not available directly from the OS startup, I have to wait several minutes. My Bluetooth mouse has abrupt failures for several minutes, works then again, but only for 10 minutes approx.
I also tried every driver and ProSET-version from forum threads I read from people with similar problems. The last try was the actual version 16.7.0, but also with that version it won't work.
I am pretty desperate right now, because the notebook itself is one hot *** piece, and I love to work with Windows 8.1 also.
Please Intel, tell me what to do, or even better, release a driver that works!
Slow speeds with Wireless N 7260 after update.
I have a 60Mbps connection at home and with the 7260 card I used to get up to 56Mbps through my laptop but since driver version 16.6.0.8 I can only ever get a maximum of 25Mbps. Nothing else has changed, I use all the same settings and even tried newer beta drivers. I have rolled back to 16.5.3.6 as this was the last driver that would provide the correct speeds however this driver suffers from drop outs and every few hours I have to switch the wifi card off and on again as it drops to a few Kbps.
Can anyone please help?!intspeed

Intel centrino advanced-n 1030 Two connections per startup
Hi there!
My specs:
Dell Inspiron n5110 laptop
Intel Centrino advanced-n 1030 network adapter
Windows 7 64bit professional
-(freshly re-formatted and does'nt contain any external installation except the network&graphics driver)
My problem :
This order of operations always crashes the network adapter:
Startup completed -> select a network -> connected -> disconnect ->
reconnect-> connected -> disconnect -> trying to connect to any network -> point of failure.
What do I mean by point of failure:
1) blue spinning disk Wifi icon gets stuck
2) trying to disable network adapter via "change adapter settings" disables nothing
3) trying to restart network service WlanAutoConfig - process gets stuck
4) this problem doesn't go away until I restart my computer.
When I startup safe mode with networking this problem disappears.

intel centrino wireless n2230 on toshiba satellite p870 windows 8.1 cant connect
I have a 1 year old Toshiba Satellite P870 running windows 8.1 and have had no problems until connecting my new Galaxy Note 3 via usb which correctly installed its drivers etc and I was able to access the phone normally.
A week later I turned on the laptop and found that I could not connect to any WIFI.
A search of the Toshiba website for drivers does not list any drivers for the Intel Centrino wireless n2230 that shows in my Device Manager.
I called tech support and was told to install an Atheros driver which does not match my hardware and had no effect.
I have uninstalled the driver manually through device manager and downloaded both the Wireless_16.7.0_De164.exe driver only package and the Wireless_16.7.0_e164.exe full install package and also run the repair.
The website indicates the date for the driver release as 12/17/2013 and the driver version as 16.7.0
However after installation, device manager indicates the date as 8/22/2013 and the driver version as 15.10.3.2
It appears that the information on the website is in error and that the updated drivers are really older versions?
In any case every attempt to connect to a wireless connection yields 'Cant connect to this network'.
Yes I have checked and restarted the router, modem, computer, and verified the WEP key and tried multiple wireless connections and routers/locations that all worked before.
Running the Manual Diagnostic Tool passes all tests up to the Association Test which FAILS due to the fact that it cannot connect to anything and no further tests can run.
Toshiba is no help - they don't even list the device driver as one that comes with my serial number on their website.
Wired connection works fine through the Qualcomm Atheros AR8161 PCI-E Gigabit Ethernet Controller (NDIS 6.30)
Subsequently to this issue I have intalled the following:
KEIS3Setip.exe from Samsung as well as the SAMSUNG_USB_Driver_for_Mobile_Phones_v1.5.33.0.exe
This has not affected the wifi connectivity either way. I have also applied all MS updates.

Problem with Intel AC 7260 wireless adapter
I am using Intel AC 7260 wireless adapter on a Sony laptop running Windows 7 64bit. The speed and range are very good, I can stream 1080p a few floors away from my router. However, I have an intermittent problem. After using the computer for a while, sometimes minutes, sometimes hours, the computer stops resolving URLs. If I try to go to a new website, I get a message that the server cannot be found. However, websites that I already visited in this session continue to work. Also, If I type the IP address of a server (rather than URL), it connects to it. This happens regardless of which web browser I use (Firefox or IE). When this happens, I need to tell Windows to disconnect from my network, then reconnect. This solves the problem until the next time. So basically, the wireless connection does not drop, but my system stops resolving URLs.
Here is some additional info:
1. The problem occurs with Intel driver 16.6.0 as well as 16.1.5.
2. The problem did not happen before when I used Intel N 6235 on this machine.
3. The problem does not happen when I use Ralink based wireless-N USB adapter on the same machine.
4. My router is Asus RT-AC66U, but I experienced the same problems with Netgear and Apple routers.
5. None of the other clients I use on my network exhibit this problem (laptops, tablets, smartphones).
6. All the firmware and software on the laptop and routers is up to date.
Does anyone else experience similar problem? Anyone has a solution?
Thanks in advance.
